Ide like to know how you got your cat to be able to travel with you. I'm possibly going to be driving truck and would like to take my cat with me. Thanks
Actually, I found him at a rest area in Florida, so he kinda had no choice but to ride in the truck. He took to it like he had been born there though, so I think he came out of someone else's truck and got left there by accident. He's a sweetheart though. :) The best way to see if they will ride well is to first put them in the truck without it running. If they seem okay, start it up but don't move. If still okay, drive around for a few minutes before hitting the highway. If everything is still okay, you're good to go. Kitty might put up a bit of a fuss, but if he/she doesn't calm down within a few days, take the kitty home. Watch for bad behavior and correct immediately (mine poohed on the clean sheets), but do NOT hit the cat. Let them know you mean business by your body language. They can read that very well and respond accordingly. Occasionally, a light tap on the nose will work as well. :) Good luck sweetie!
